    Man United vs. Bayern Munich

Post by Vic Taylor on Tue Mar 30, 2010 11:51 pm

    Warning: SPOILERS!!!

I honestly am pissed off right now. The early goal was brilliant, but then we threw it away at the end. Evil or Very Mad

The first goal against Utd can totally be put down to Neville's idiocy. I mean, how hard is it not to reach out and slap the ball?!

The second goal seemed just unlucky, but if Rooney's broken his foot again, I think I'm going to murder someone. Evil or Very Mad

Okay, rant over... Did anyone else watch it?

Didn't watch it but I did ;isten on radio. Sounds like Rooney has twisted his ankle so it isn't that bad. You got the away goal so it can easily be turned round Smile

It was quite silly of Neville with that handball.

But like bakerman said. They got the away goal, so anything can happen still. Looking forward to Arsenal - Barcelona tonight. It'll be a very tough one.

Fergie said he looked doubtful for Saturday, which is when we play Chelsea. If he doesn't play, it's a big blow, as that match will basically decide who wins the title. Sad

I saw it. Quite pissed still. The one time Evra misses on the ball, they score. And Gary Neville is getting too old for top football imo. He is the most mistake-ridden RB in top football atm. I'm just glad it wasn't the final!

Tbf, Neville has played very well over the last few games. It was just one mistake. It cost us a goal, but he's still a solid right back.

Note: I don't actually like Gary Neville. Rolling Eyes

Hehe. I'm not saying that he messes up in key situations all the time, but he has several misplaced passes and often missing in tackles etc.
And I do like him! Razz

We've had a lot of that from Ferdinand this season, and his mistakes are coming under a lot more scrutiny. Hopefully, Fergie will start looking for long term replacements, as I don't think Fabio/Rafael are good enough to pick up the right back spot, and I have doubts about Evans.

True. We'll have to wait and see with Fabio,Rafael and Evans, but I think Ferguson can make Rio as stable as expected. Just look at Vidic. He played like a nervous kid at first, but now he's on of the best CBs in the world. Smile

Think man of the match was easily Van der Sar. He kept us in the match and, without him, we could have lost 5-1.

    What do you think?

Totally agree! He had some fantastic saves throughout the match and we wouldn't have had a chance without him.

I have a horrible feeling w're going to go through another post-Schmeichel age when Van der Sar leaves. When Fergie fixes on a good keeper, he makes him world-class, but boy does he take time finding a good one?! Rolling Eyes

Yeah. Unless Foster or PIG comes through, we're going to struggle!
